Welcome to Oxfordshire Wildlife Rescue
'Oxfordshire Wildlife Rescue' is a award winning wildlife charity that rescues, cares, and rehabilitates sick, injured, and orphaned wild animals throughout Oxfordshire and Berkshire
We offer a 24-hour wildlife ambulance service and operate from our casualty centre based in Blewbury.
We help many of the species of wildlife found here in the UK. Including tiny mice, foxes, badgers, owls, swans, hedgehogs, and deer. Working together with veterinary professionals, we care and rehabilitate our patients with the eventual aim to always release them back to the wild where possible. We've developed specialist techniques and practices for a wide variety of different species found here in the UK. This work has established 'OWR' as both a reliable and professional organization with integrity when it comes to wildlife care & rehabilitation.
Our service is free of charge, we DO NOT charge - but the average cost to the charity of responding to a wildlife call-out is £70, which includes veterinary bills, food, water, electric, bedding, caging, rescue equipment, vehicles and their fuel, phone bills and other necessary expenses, so we appreciate any donations to help cover these costs.
Every year between 3-4,000 calls are made to our rescue line. Our service is entirely funded by kind donations from people like you.
